  1. Provide comprehensive care to patients with heart and lung diseases under the supervision of experienced cardiovascular surgeons.
  2. Conduct thorough patient assessments and develop appropriate treatment plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
  3. Perform invasive and non-invasive procedures, including but not limited to physical exams, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, and prescribing medications.
  4. Monitor and manage patients' health status, including post-operative care and follow-up appointments.
  5. Educate patients and their families about their condition, treatment options, and self-care techniques.
  6. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care and promote positive patient outcomes.
  7. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation.
  8. Stay current with advances in cardiothoracic surgery through continuing education and professional development.
  9. Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and regulations.
  10. Demonstrate exceptional communication and interpersonal skills when interacting with patients, families, and colleagues.
  11. Show compassion, empathy, and sensitivity towards patients and their families during difficult and stressful situations.
  12. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of evidence-based practices.

Job Qualifications
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (Acls) And Basic Life Support (Bls) Certifications.

  • Current And Valid State Licensure As A Physician Assistant Or Nurse Practitioner.

  • Master's Degree In Physician Assistant Studies Or Nurse Practitioner Program With Specialization In Cardiothoracic Surgery.

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In Cardiothoracic Surgery As A Physician Assistant Or Nurse Practitioner.

  • Strong Knowledge And Experience In Managing Complex Cardiac And Thoracic Surgical Cases, Including Pre-Operative, Intra-Operative, And Post-Operative Care.
