
Phlebotomist
Providence St. Patrick Hospital is looking for a compassionate and organized Phlebotomist to join our dedicated medical team. In this role, you will be responsible for collecting blood samples from patients and ensuring that the specimens are labeled and stored correctly. To succeed as our Phlebotomist, you must have excellent interpersonal skills, be detail-oriented and have a passion for providing quality patient care. Responsibilities:
- Collect blood samples from patients in a safe, efficient, and professional manner
- Label and store blood specimens correctly according to established protocols
- Maintain accurate records of blood samples collected and stored
- Follow established safety procedures and protocols when collecting and storing specimens
- Accurately record patient information and vital signs prior to collecting blood samples
- Ensure that all equipment is properly sterilized prior to and after use
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Respond to patient and staff inquiries in a friendly and helpful manner
- Monitor patient conditions and report any changes to the healthcare team
- Provide patient education and support related to blood collection procedures
High School Diploma Or Equivalent
Knowledge Of Medical Terminology
Cpr Certification
Ability To Work Independently And As Part Of A Team
Valid Certification As A Certified Phlebotomy Technician
