
Phlebotomist
We are seeking an experienced, dedicated Phlebotomist to join the Providence St. Patrick Hospital team. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to provide vital assistance to patients and support to their healthcare team. We are looking for a team-oriented individual who is committed to providing high-quality patient care and ensuring a safe and friendly environment.The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational skills, a strong customer service approach, and the ability to maintain composure in difficult situations. We are looking for a candidate with a minimum of one year of phlebotomy experience, specialized phlebotomy training, and a certification from an accredited program. The successful candidate will also possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work independently while following established procedures. Responsibilities:
-Perform phlebotomy procedures in accordance with established protocols and safety standards -Collect and label patient specimens accurately -Maintain records of patient specimens and test results -Provide patient education regarding phlebotomy procedures -Follow proper infection control procedures -Assist with the organization and preparation of laboratory supplies -Assist in the maintenance of laboratory equipment -Provide friendly customer service to patients -Maintain composure in difficult situations -Adhere to all safety regulations and policies -Comply with HIPAA regulations and other applicable laws
