Patient Sitter

Providence St. Patrick Hospital is looking for an experienced and compassionate Patient Sitter to provide comfort and safety to our patients. The ideal candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills and a genuine desire to help others. The Patient Sitter will be expected to interact with patients in a respectful and caring manner, while providing quality care and support.The successful candidate will possess a minimum of one year of experience in a healthcare setting, as well as a basic understanding of medical terminology. In addition to having a compassionate and friendly personality, the successful candidate must also demonstrate a strong commitment to safety and patient satisfaction. A valid driver's license and CPR certification are required.

Responsibilities:

1. Provide comfort and support to patients in a respectful and compassionate manner.
2. Maintain a safe and secure environment for the patients.
3. Interact with patients in a caring and friendly manner.
4. Educate patients about their treatment and care plans.
5. Monitor patient vital signs and other health indicators.
6. Assist with patient and family questions and concerns.
7. Report any patient issues or changes in condition to the medical staff.
8. Assist with patient transfers, ambulation, and other activities.
9. Ensure patient safety by following all safety protocols.
10. Maintain patient confidentiality, in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
11. Possess a minimum of one year of experience in a healthcare setting.
12. Possess basic understanding of medical terminology.
13. Have a valid driver's license and CPR certification.
