
Patient Sitter
At Providence St. Patrick Hospital, we strive to provide superior care for our patients and their families by delivering compassionate and attentive service. We currently have an opening for a Patient Sitter to join our team and make a positive impact on the lives of our patients. As a Patient Sitter, you will provide companionship and monitor the safety of our patients who are at risk for fall or injury. To be successful in this role, you must be patient, compassionate, and have excellent communication and problem-solving skills. You must also have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dedicated team of medical professionals and make a meaningful contribution to the care and comfort of our patients.
Responsibilities for a Patient Sitter:
-Provide companionship and conversation to patients
-Monitor patient safety to reduce risk of falls or injury
-Remain alert and attentive to patient needs
-Respond quickly to patient requests and concerns
-Ensure patient environment is safe and comfortable
-Provide emotional support and reassurance to patients and families
-Maintain patient confidentiality
-Document patient activities and behaviors
-Communicate effectively with other medical professionals
-Organize patient care activities
-Perform light housekeeping tasks as needed
-Have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
