Job Description

Providence St. Patrick Hospital is looking for a passionate and customer service-oriented Patient Services Specialist to join our team. The Patient Services Specialist will be responsible for ensuring that patients receive the best possible care, from the initial call to the final visit. The ideal candidate will have an understanding of medical terminology, excellent customer service skills and the ability to effectively prioritize tasks. We are seeking an individual who is dedicated to providing an exceptional patient experience and who is motivated to make a difference in the lives of our patients. Qualifications: • High school diploma or equivalent• Minimum of two years of customer service experience, preferably in a healthcare setting• Ability to effectively communicate in English, both verbally and in writing• Ability to multi-task and to prioritize tasks effectively• Knowledge of medical terminology and patient privacy policies• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)

Responsibilities:

  1. Ensure that patients receive the highest level of quality care throughout their experience.
  2. Respond to incoming patient inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
  3. Schedule and coordinate patient appointments.
  4. Maintain patient records and ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
  5. Utilize Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) to manage data and track patient information.
  6. Work to resolve any customer service issues that may arise.
  7. Provide timely and accurate information to all patients.
  8. Assist with troubleshooting any technical issues related to patient care.
  9. Ensure that all patient medical files are maintained and updated according to established protocols.
  10. Follow up with patients after their visits to ensure satisfaction with the services provided.
