
Patient Placement Coordinator - Nursing Admin

- Coordinate patient admissions and placements based on medical needs, unit availability, and hospital policies.
- Communicate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare team members to determine appropriate patient placement.
- Ensure that patients are placed in suitable units and receive the necessary care and resources.
- Monitor patient flow and make necessary adjustments to ensure efficient and timely placement.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of patient admissions, transfers, and discharges.
- Collaborate with other hospital departments to address any patient placement issues or concerns.
- Assist in developing and implementing policies and procedures related to patient placement.
- Maintain a high level of knowledge regarding hospital operations, including bed availability, staffing levels, and unit capabilities.
- Act as a liaison between patients, families, and healthcare providers to address any questions or concerns related to patient placement.
- Continuously evaluate and improve patient placement processes to ensure optimal efficiency and patient satisfaction.
- Train and educate new staff members on patient placement procedures and protocols.
- Adhere to all HIPAA and patient confidentiality guidelines.
- Represent the hospital and nursing administration team in a professional and courteous manner at all times.
- Participate in hospital-wide committees and initiatives related to patient placement and care.
- Other duties as assigned by the Nursing Administration team.
Bachelor's Degree In Nursing Or Related Field.
Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience In Nursing Administration Or Patient Placement Coordination.
Knowledge Of Healthcare Regulations And Guidelines, Including Medicare And Medicaid.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Collaborate And Effectively Communicate With Healthcare Providers, Patients, And Families.
Proficiency In Electronic Medical Record Systems And Other Computer Software Used In Healthcare Settings.
