Patient Authorization and Referral Representative

At Providence St. Patrick Hospital, we are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Patient Authorization and Referral Representative to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for processing authorization and referral requests for patient care services. We are looking for an organized and proactive individual who is passionate about providing quality patient care.The successful candidate should have a strong understanding of medical terminology, excellent organizational and customer service skills, and the ability to accurately interpret and follow written instructions. Experience in a medical office environment is preferred but not required. To be successful in this role, you should have the ability to work well independently and as part of a team. Responsibilities:

1. Process authorization and referral requests for patient care services.
2. Ensure accuracy of information in patient care records.
3. Interpret and follow written instructions.
4. Maintain customer service standards.

7. Utilize medical terminology appropriately.
8. Stay up to date with industry trends and regulations.
9. Adhere to HIPPA and other privacy regulations.
10. Troubleshoot issues related to patient authorizations and referrals.
