  1. Serve as the primary point of contact for patients and their families during the admission process.
  2. Greet and welcome patients and their families with compassion and empathy.
  3. Collect and verify patient information, including personal and medical information.
  4. Accurately enter patient data into the hospital's electronic medical records system.
  5. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare providers to ensure a seamless admission process.
  6. Coordinate with other hospital departments, such as nursing and finance, to ensure a timely and smooth admission.
  7. Explain hospital policies and procedures to patients and families, including insurance coverage and financial responsibilities.
  8. Obtain necessary signatures and documents from patients and their families.
  9. Maintain patient confidentiality and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations.
  10. Address any patient concerns or questions in a professional and timely manner.
  11. Monitor and maintain patient census and bed availability to ensure efficient use of hospital resources.
  12. Collaborate with physicians and nursing staff to ensure accurate and timely patient admissions.
  13. Assist in training and mentoring new admissions coordinators.
  14. Keep accurate records and generate reports as needed.
  15. Continuously strive to improve the patient admission process and patient satisfaction.
  16. Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures, as well as state and federal regulations.
  17. Maintain a high level of organization and attention to detail to ensure accurate patient information and documentation.
  18. Work collaboratively with the healthcare team to provide exceptional patient care.
  19. Attend department meetings and participate in hospital-wide initiatives.
  20. Maintain a positive attitude and professional demeanor at all times.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Or A Related Field.

  • Knowledge Of Medical Terminology And Insurance Verification Processes.

  • Proficiency In Computer Systems And Electronic Medical Records, With The Ability To Learn New Software Quickly.

  • Minimum Of 2-3 Years Of Experience In A Healthcare Setting, Preferably In Patient Admissions Or Registration.

  • Strong Communication Skills, Both Written And Verbal, With The Ability To Interact With Patients, Families, And Healthcare Professionals.
