  1. Provide compassionate and exceptional care to patients at Providence St. Patrick Hospital.
  2. Serve as an integral member of the OB team, working closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality care for patients.
  3. Conduct thorough assessments of patients and accurately document their medical histories.
  4. Monitor and manage the health of pregnant patients, including performing prenatal exams and providing prenatal care.
  5. Respond promptly to emergency situations and provide appropriate treatment and interventions.
  6. Collaborate with obstetricians, midwives, and other healthcare providers to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients.
  7. Educate patients and their families about pregnancy, childbirth, and postpartum care.
  8. Conduct deliveries and assist with cesarean sections as needed.
  9. Monitor and care for newborns, including performing newborn assessments and providing postpartum care.
  10. Stay up-to-date on current obstetric practices and procedures, and participate in ongoing education and training opportunities.
  11. Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and guidelines related to patient care and safety.
  12. Maintain accurate and thorough patient records and ensure all documentation is complete and up-to-date.
  13. Act as a resource for other healthcare providers, answering questions and providing guidance on obstetric care.
  14. Maintain a professional and empathetic demeanor with patients and their families, providing emotional support and addressing any concerns or questions.
  15. Promote a positive and welcoming atmosphere for patients, visitors, and staff at all times.

Job Qualifications
  • Medical Degree: A Candidate For An Ob Hospitalist Job At Providence St. Patrick Hospital Must Have A Medical Degree From An Accredited Medical School.

  • Board Certification: The Candidate Should Be Board Certified In Obstetrics And Gynecology, Demonstrating Their Expertise And Knowledge In The Field.

  • Residency Training: A Minimum Of 3 Years Of Residency Training In Obstetrics And Gynecology Is Required For This Position, Preferably With Experience In High-Risk Pregnancies.

  • Current State Medical License: The Candidate Must Possess A Current And Unrestricted Medical License To Practice Medicine In The State Of Montana.

  • Experience In Hospitalist Care: Previous Experience Working As A Hospitalist, Preferably In An Ob Setting, Is Highly Desired For This Role. This Includes Experience Managing Labor And Delivery, Performing Emergency C-Sections, And Managing Postpartum Care.
