Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Nutrition Attendant to join our team at Providence St. Patrick Hospital.   1. Prepare and deliver nutritious meals to patients according to their dietary restrictions and preferences.
  2. Monitor patients' food intake and report any changes or concerns to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
  3. Maintain inventory of food and supplies, ensuring adequate stock levels for meal preparation.
  4. Follow proper food safety and sanitation protocols to ensure a clean and safe environment for food preparation and storage.
  5. Collaborate with the nutrition team to develop and implement meal plans for patients with specific dietary needs.
  6. Provide excellent customer service to patients, addressing any questions or concerns they may have about their meals.
  7. Communicate with healthcare professionals regarding patients' nutritional needs and ensure those needs are met.
  8. Document and maintain accurate records of patients' food intake and any dietary restrictions or preferences.
  9. Assist with the education and counseling of patients and their families on proper nutrition and healthy eating habits.
  10. Attend department meetings and participate in continuous education to stay updated on nutrition and dietary guidelines.
  11. Maintain a positive and professional attitude while working in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
  12. Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures, including confidentiality and patient privacy.
  13. Collaborate with other members of the nutrition team to ensure a smooth and efficient workflow.
  14. Continuously seek ways to improve the nutrition services provided to patients and contribute to the overall success of the department.
  15. Complete any other duties as assigned by the supervisor or management.

Job Qualifications
  • High School Diploma Or Equivalent: A Minimum Of A High School Diploma Or Ged Is Typically Required For A Nutrition Attendant Position At Providence St. Patrick Hospital. This Ensures That The Candidate Has A Basic Level Of Education And Can Effectively Communicate And Follow Instructions.
