Nutrition Attendant

- Maintain inventory of food and supplies, ensuring adequate stock levels for meal preparation.
- Follow proper food safety and sanitation protocols to ensure a clean and safe environment for food preparation and storage.
- Collaborate with the nutrition team to develop and implement meal plans for patients with specific dietary needs.
- Provide excellent customer service to patients, addressing any questions or concerns they may have about their meals.
- Communicate with healthcare professionals regarding patients' nutritional needs and ensure those needs are met.
- Document and maintain accurate records of patients' food intake and any dietary restrictions or preferences.
- Assist with the education and counseling of patients and their families on proper nutrition and healthy eating habits.
- Attend department meetings and participate in continuous education to stay updated on nutrition and dietary guidelines.
- Maintain a positive and professional attitude while working in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
- Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures, including confidentiality and patient privacy.

High School Diploma Or Equivalent: A Minimum Of A High School Diploma Or Ged Is Typically Required For A Nutrition Attendant Position At Providence St. Patrick Hospital. This Ensures That The Candidate Has A Basic Level Of Education And Can Effectively Communicate And Follow Instructions.
Experience In Food Service Or Nutrition: Previous Experience In Food Service Or Nutrition, Whether In A Hospital Or Other Setting, Is Highly Desirable For A Nutrition Attendant Role. This Demonstrates An Understanding Of Food Safety, Sanitation, And Basic Nutrition Principles.
