
Nutrition Attendant

As a Nutrition Attendant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our patients receive the proper dietary support for their recovery. - Provide excellent customer service by warmly welcoming and greeting patients and their families, and ensuring their needs and concerns are addressed.
- Assist with meal service by accurately and efficiently delivering meals to patients' rooms according to their prescribed dietary restrictions.
- Communicate with patients and their families to understand and accommodate any special dietary needs or preferences.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure patients' nutritional needs are met and any dietary concerns are addressed.
- Maintain accurate records of patients' dietary orders, meal intake, and any dietary supplements or restrictions.
- Follow all safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure food is handled and stored properly.
- Monitor and restock nutritional supplies and ensure appropriate inventory levels are maintained.
- Participate in departmental meetings and training sessions to stay updated on nutrition and dietary guidelines and procedures.
- Provide support and assistance to the dietary team when needed, including dishwashing, food prep, and cleaning of the dining and kitchen areas.
- Maintain a positive and professional attitude while working in a fast-paced and dynamic healthcare environment.
- Uphold the hospital's mission and values, and adhere to all policies and procedures.
- Continuously strive to improve patient satisfaction by seeking feedback and implementing improvements in the nutritional services provided.
- Demonstrate sensitivity and empathy towards patients and their families, and maintain confidentiality at all times.
- Act as a role model for other team members by exhibiting a strong work ethic, professionalism, and dedication to providing exceptional patient care.
- Attend and participate in continuing education programs to stay informed about the latest advancements and best practices in nutrition and dietary services.
Minimum Of A High School Diploma Or Equivalent Education.
Certification In Nutrition Or Food Service Related Field Preferred.
At Least 2 Years Of Experience In A Food Service Or Nutrition Related Role.
Knowledge Of Basic Nutrition Principles And Specialized Diets.
Ability To Communicate Effectively With Patients, Staff, And Healthcare Professionals.
