Providence St. Patrick Hospital is seeking a dedicated Neonatal Intensive Care Nurse Practitioner to join our team of healthcare professionals committed to providing exceptional care for our neonatal patients. In this role, you will work closely with our expert team to provide advanced care to premature and critically ill newborns in our state-of-the-art Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. We are looking for candidates with a strong background in neonatal care, exceptional critical thinking skills, and a passion for delivering comprehensive and compassionate care to our most vulnerable patients.   1. Provide advanced and comprehensive care to premature and critically ill newborns in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU).
  2. Work closely with a team of healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans for neonatal patients.
  3. Conduct physical assessments, diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses, and monitor changes in patient conditions.
  4. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
  5. Perform advanced procedures such as intubation, central line placement, and lumbar punctures.
  6. Evaluate and interpret diagnostic tests and lab results to inform treatment plans.
  7. Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure seamless care coordination for neonatal patients.
  8. Educate and support families on their child's condition, treatment plan, and discharge instructions.
  9. Remain up-to-date on current neonatal care practices and attend continuing education opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
  10. Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care, treatment plans, and progress.
  11. Adhere to safety protocols and infection control standards to ensure the well-being of patients and staff.
  12. Demonstrate a high level of compassion, empathy, and sensitivity when caring for neonatal patients and their families.
  13. Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.
  14. Uphold the mission, vision, and values of the hospital and promote a positive working environment.
  15. Serve as a role model for other nursing staff and provide mentorship and guidance as needed.

Job Qualifications
  • Current Rn License In The State Of Montana.

  • Master's Degree In Nursing With A Focus On Neonatal Care.

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Experience As A Neonatal Nurse Practitioner.

  • Certification As A Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (Nnp) From A Nationally Recognized Organization (E.g. Ncc Or Aacn).

  • Bls And Nrp Certification.
