Mental Health Counselor

We are seeking an experienced Mental Health Counselor to join our team at Providence St. Patrick Hospital. In this role, you will be providing psychological and emotional support to individuals and families in the community. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and be committed to providing quality care. To be successful in this role, you must hold a Master’s degree in Social Work or Mental Health Counseling, be licensed in the state of Montana, and have a minimum of two years of experience in a clinical setting. In addition, you must possess strong organizational skills and be able to work independently. Responsibilities:

1. Provide psychological and emotional counseling to individuals and families in the community.
2. Maintain a valid license in the state of Montana.
3. Utilize excellent communication and interpersonal skills when interacting with clients.
4. Administer assessments and develop treatment plans.
5. Utilize evidence-based therapies to provide quality care.
6. Maintain client records and ensure that all documentation meets professional standards.
7. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals in the community.
8. Remain up-to-date with current best practices in mental health counseling.
9. Participate in continuing education and professional development activities.
10. Provide crisis counseling and intervention when appropriate.
