- Develop and implement financial strategies and processes to support the goals and objectives of the Surgical Services department.
- Oversee the financial operations of the department, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
- Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and standards set by the hospital and regulatory bodies.
- Collaborate with department leaders to identify areas for improvement and implement cost-saving measures.
- Analyze financial data and provide recommendations to improve efficiency and profitability.
- Monitor and manage department expenses, including supplies, equipment, and staffing costs.
- Build and maintain relationships with vendors and negotiate contracts to ensure the best value for the hospital.
- Provide guidance and leadership to the finance team, including training, development, and performance evaluations.
- Communicate financial performance and forecasts to hospital leadership and stakeholders.
- Participate in strategic planning and decision-making processes for the Surgical Services department.
- Stay informed on industry trends and changes in healthcare finance regulations and make necessary adjustments to ensure compliance.
- Foster a culture of financial responsibility and accountability among department staff.
- Collaborate with the revenue cycle team to ensure accurate and timely billing and collections.
- Prepare and present financial reports and analyses to support decision-making processes.
- Serve as a liaison between the Surgical Services department and other hospital departments, including finance, accounting, and human resources.
- Identify and mitigate potential financial risks within the department.
- Continuously evaluate and improve financial processes and procedures to increase efficiency and accuracy.
- Serve as a role model for ethical and professional behavior in all financial matters.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment within the finance team and across departments.
- Participate in hospital-wide initiatives and projects to support the overall success of the organization.
Excellent Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills.
Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Financial Management, Preferably In A Healthcare Setting.
Bachelor's Degree In Finance, Accounting, Or Related Field.
Strong Understanding Of Healthcare Finance, Reimbursement, And Regulatory Requirements.
Experience Managing A Team And Leading Financial Planning And Budgeting Processes.
