  1. Oversee and manage the daily operations of the Sterile Processing Department, ensuring all tasks are completed efficiently and accurately.
  2. Train and supervise a team of sterile processing technicians, providing guidance and support to ensure adherence to established protocols and procedures.
  3. Maintain a high level of organization and attention to detail in all aspects of the sterile processing workflow, including decontamination, sterilization, and distribution of medical equipment and supplies.
  4. Collaborate with other departments and healthcare professionals to ensure timely and accurate delivery of sterile equipment and supplies for patient care.
  5. Monitor and maintain inventory levels to ensure an adequate supply of sterile equipment and supplies at all times.
  6. Conduct regular quality control checks and audits to ensure compliance with infection control standards and regulations.
  7. Troubleshoot and resolve any issues or concerns related to sterile processing, escalating to management as needed.
  8. Stay current with industry best practices and advancements in sterile processing techniques, and implement new processes and procedures as appropriate.
  9. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting teamwork and open communication among staff.
  10. Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures, as well as safety and infection control guidelines.
  11. Participate in the hiring and onboarding of new sterile processing technicians, ensuring proper training and integration into the team.
  12. Provide regular performance evaluations and feedback to staff, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as needed.
  13. Serve as a role model for professionalism, integrity, and excellence in patient care.
  14. Handle any other duties or responsibilities as assigned by management.

Job Qualifications
  • Minimum Of 3-5 Years Experience In Sterile Processing In A Hospital Or Healthcare Setting.

  • Certification As A Certified Registered Central Service Technician (Crcst) Through Iahcsmm Or Certification Board For Sterile Processing And Distribution (Cbspd).

  • Knowledge Of Sterilization Techniques, Infection Control Practices, And Regulatory Standards.

  • Demonstrated Leadership Skills And Ability To Oversee And Train A Team Of Technicians.

  • Excellent Communication And Organizational Skills, With The Ability To Prioritize Tasks And Work Efficiently In A Fast-Paced Environment.
