Job Description

Providence St. Patrick Hospital is seeking a highly-skilled and motivated Interventional Radiologic Technologist to join our team in providing essential patient care. This role requires a unique combination of technical, clinical, and interpersonal skills in order to ensure the highest quality of healthcare. As an Interventional Radiologic Technologist, you will be responsible for performing a wide range of diagnostic and therapeutic imaging procedures, as well as providing patient education and support.The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years of experience in a health care setting, with a current certification as a Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) and certification in Interventional Radiography (CI) or Vascular Interventional Radiography (VI). In addition, the successful candidate must demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, communication, and sensitivity to patient needs. Above all, we are looking for a team player with a passion for providing exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities:

  1. Prepare patients for imaging procedures and explain the procedures to them.
  2. Operate imaging equipment to create radiographs and other images.
  3. Perform interventional imaging procedures, such as catheter placements and biopsies.
  4. Monitor and adjust imaging equipment during procedures.
  5. Prepare and maintain radiology documents and patient records.
  6. Assist radiologists with imaging-guided surgeries.
  7. Monitor patients during procedures and provide support and reassurance.
  8. Assist with preparing and loading medications for imaging procedures.
  9. Follow radiation safety protocols and maintain quality assurance standards.
  10. Maintain equipment and troubleshoot any technical problems.

Job Qualifications
  • • Bachelor's Degree In Radiologic Technology

  • • Current Certification From The American Registry Of Radiologic Technologists (Arrt)

  • • Must Have Experience In Interventional Radiology

  • • Familiarity With Radiology And Interventional Radiology Techniques

  • • Knowledge Of Patient Safety And Infection Control Procedures

  • • Ability To Collaborate Effectively With Other Healthcare Professionals
