- Conduct thorough initial assessments of patients' physical and psychological needs to develop personalized treatment plans.
- Provide occupational therapy services to patients with hand injuries or conditions, including but not limited to fractures, sprains, arthritis, and post-operative care.
- Utilize evidence-based techniques and interventions to improve patients' hand function, range of motion, and strength.
- Educate patients and their families on proper care and exercises to promote recovery and prevent further injury.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as physicians, nurses, and physical therapists, to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care for patients.
- Monitor and document patients' progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed to achieve optimal outcomes.
- Maintain accurate and timely records of patient evaluations, treatment sessions, and discharge summaries.
- Stay up-to-date on industry developments, advancements, and best practices in hand occupational therapy.
- Demonstrate a high level of empathy, compassion, and professionalism in all interactions with patients, families, and colleagues.
- Adhere to hospital policies and procedures, as well as state and federal regulations, to ensure safe and ethical delivery of services.
- Actively participate in team meetings, case conferences, and continuing education opportunities to enhance clinical knowledge and skills.
- Promote a positive and welcoming atmosphere in the therapy department and throughout the hospital.
- Continuously strive for excellence in patient care and customer service, exceeding expectations and upholding the hospital's reputation for exceptional care.
- Represent the hospital and the occupational therapy profession with integrity and professionalism at all times.
Bachelor's Or Master's Degree In Occupational Therapy: The Candidate Should Have A Degree In Occupational Therapy From An Accredited College Or University.
State Licensure: The Candidate Should Be Licensed To Practice As An Occupational Therapist In The State Of Montana.
Hand Therapy Certification: The Candidate Should Have A Certification In Hand Therapy From A Recognized Organization, Such As The Hand Therapy Certification Commission.
Experience In Hand Therapy: The Candidate Should Have A Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In Hand Therapy, Preferably In A Hospital Or Clinical Setting.
Knowledge Of Occupational Therapy Techniques: The Candidate Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Various Occupational Therapy Techniques And Interventions, Specifically For Hand Injuries And Conditions.
