Job Description

We are currently seeking an Environmental Services Technician to join our team and help us maintain our high standards of cleanliness and sanitation throughout the hospital. In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring the well-being of our patients, staff, and visitors by keeping our facilities clean and in compliance with all regulatory guidelines.   1. Perform routine cleaning tasks in patient rooms, hallways, and other designated areas using appropriate cleaning agents and equipment.
  2. Follow established procedures for infection control and safety guidelines to prevent the spread of bacteria and viruses.
  3. Monitor and maintain adequate supply levels of cleaning materials and inform supervisor of any shortages.
  4. Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate department for resolution.
  5. Respond to emergency cleaning requests in a timely and efficient manner.
  6. Follow proper waste disposal protocols and ensure all hazardous materials are disposed of according to hospital policies.
  7. Collaborate with nursing staff and other team members to ensure patient rooms are clean and ready for new admissions.
  8. Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor when interacting with patients, visitors, and staff.
  9. Attend trainings and meetings to stay updated on new cleaning techniques and procedures.
  10. Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures, including those related to confidentiality and privacy.
  11. Complete assigned tasks accurately and in a timely manner.
  12. Utilize proper safety equipment and follow all safety protocols.
  13. Maintain a positive attitude and promote a team-oriented work environment.
  14. Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or manager.

Job Qualifications

  • Physical Ability To Perform Manual Labor: This Job Involves Frequent Bending, Lifting, And Moving Heavy Equipment And Supplies. Candidates Must Be Physically Fit And Able To Perform These Tasks To Ensure The Cleanliness And Safety Of The Hospital.

  • Knowledge Of Infection Control Protocols: A Key Responsibility Of An Environmental Services Technician Is To Prevent The Spread Of Infections In The Hospital. A Candidate With Knowledge And Understanding Of Infection Control Protocols And Procedures Would Be Preferred For This Job.
