Job Description

At Providence St. Patrick Hospital, we are looking for an experienced and compassionate EMT Paramedic to join our team. Required Qualifications:• Current certification as an Emergency Medical Technician Paramedic from a state approved program• Current CPR certification• Current ACLS certification• Current PALS certification• Minimum 1 year of experience as an EMT Paramedic• Knowledge of basic anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and pharmacology• Ability to work independently and as part of a team• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal• Ability to respond to emergency situations in a timely manner

Responsibilities:

  1. Provide emergency medical care in accordance with established protocols and procedures.
  2. Quickly assess patients’ medical situations and respond appropriately.
  3. Administer life-saving medications and treatments.
  4. Monitor patients’ vital signs and respond to changes in condition.
  5. Perform medical procedures, such as intubations and extubations, as required.
  6. Prepare and maintain accurate patient care records.
  7. Operate medical equipment, such as ventilators, defibrillators, and ambulances.
  8. Work collaboratively with all members of the medical staff to ensure the highest quality of patient care.
  9. Respond to emergency situations in a timely manner.
  10. Provide emotional support and comfort to patients and their families.
