Job Description

Providence St. Patrick Hospital is currently seeking an experienced and reliable EKG Technician to join our team. This position requires a motivated individual with the ability to work independently and in a collaborative environment. To be successful in this role, you should have a strong background in medical terminology and be able to take direction from multiple members of the healthcare team. Responsibilities:

  1. Perform electrocardiogram (EKG) tests on patients in accordance with hospital protocols and medical orders.
  2. Prepare patients for EKG tests, including explaining the procedure and positioning the patient properly.
  3. Maintain accurate records of all EKG tests performed, including patient information, results, and any other relevant data.
  4. Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations to ensure patient safety during EKG tests.
  5. Maintain and troubleshoot EKG equipment according to manufacturer specifications.
  6. Work collaboratively with other healthcare team members to ensure the delivery of quality patient care.
  7. Provide excellent customer service to patients and their families throughout the testing process.
  8. Ensure all medical records, documentation, and reports related to EKG tests are completed accurately and in a timely manner.
  9. Stay current on the latest developments in the field of EKG testing and technology.
  10. Comply with all hospital policies and procedures related to EKG testing.
