- Develop and implement strategic initiatives for the behavioral health department, in alignment with the overall goals and mission of the hospital.
- Oversee all operations of the behavioral health department, including budget management, staffing, and resource allocation.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards, including those set by governing bodies and accreditation agencies.
- Maintain a strong understanding of evidence-based practices and incorporate them into the treatment plans and services provided to patients.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to staff, promoting a culture of compassion, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Foster a positive and inclusive work environment, where staff feel supported and valued.
- Develop and maintain relationships with community partners and stakeholders to enhance the quality and accessibility of behavioral health services.
- Stay up-to-date with advancements and changes in the field of behavioral health, and make recommendations for incorporating new practices or services into the department.
- Ensure that all patient care is delivered with the highest level of quality and compassion, in accordance with the hospital's standards and policies.
- Collaborate with other departments and leaders within the hospital to promote integration and coordination of care for patients with behavioral health needs.
- Represent the behavioral health department in hospital-wide meetings and initiatives, advocating for the needs of the department and its patients.
- Serve as a role model for ethical and professional behavior, and uphold the values and mission of the hospital.
- Continuously evaluate the department's performance and outcomes, and make necessary adjustments to ensure the delivery of high-quality care to patients.
- Participate in recruitment, hiring, and retention efforts for the behavioral health department, ensuring a diverse and skilled team.
- Maintain a current and active license as a mental health professional, and participate in ongoing professional development and training opportunities.
A Minimum Of 5 Years Experience In A Leadership Role In A Behavioral Health Setting.
Advanced Degree In A Relevant Field, Such As Psychology, Social Work, Or Healthcare Administration.
Strong Understanding Of Evidence-Based Practices And Treatment Modalities For Behavioral Health Disorders.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Collaborate Effectively With Interdisciplinary Teams And External Stakeholders.
Proven Track Record Of Developing And Implementing Strategic Plans To Improve The Quality And Delivery Of Behavioral Health Services.
