
Diagnostic Imaging Assistant

- Assist radiologists and technologists in performing diagnostic imaging procedures.
- Ensure patient comfort and safety during procedures.
- Operate and maintain imaging equipment, including preparing and positioning patients for imaging.
- Monitor and document patient vital signs and other pertinent information.
- Collaborate with healthcare team to ensure efficient and accurate patient care.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Adhere to infection control and safety protocols.
- Recognize and report any equipment malfunctions or concerns.
- Communicate effectively with patients and their families, providing compassionate and professional care.
- Attend and actively participate in team meetings and trainings.
- Keep accurate records and complete necessary documentation.
- Continuously update knowledge and skills through ongoing education and training.
- Adhere to hospital policies and procedures.
- Assist with scheduling and coordinating patient appointments.
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients and their families.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information.

- Perform any other duties as assigned by supervising radiologists or technologists.
High School Diploma Or Equivalent: A Minimum Education Requirement For A Diagnostic Imaging Assistant At Providence St. Patrick Hospital Is A High School Diploma Or Equivalent.
Certification In Radiologic Technology: Candidates Must Possess A Certification In Radiologic Technology From An Accredited Institution To Qualify For The Role.
Previous Experience In A Hospital Setting: Prior Experience Working In A Hospital Or Healthcare Setting Is Preferred For This Position, As It Demonstrates An Understanding Of The Environment And Patient Care.
Knowledge Of Medical Terminology: A Strong Understanding Of Medical Terminology Is Essential For A Diagnostic Imaging Assistant To Effectively Communicate And Assist With Procedures.
Strong Attention To Detail: This Role Requires A High Level Of Attention To Detail And Accuracy In Order To Properly Assist With Diagnostic Imaging Procedures And Ensure The Safety Of Patients.
