Job Description

If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in our Medical Surgical 4L unit at Providence St. Patrick Hospital. In this role, you will play a vital part in the patient care team, assisting with daily activities and providing support to our patients and their families.   1. Provide compassionate and quality care to patients in a fast-paced medical surgical unit.
  2. Assist patients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, and feeding.
  3. Monitor patients' vital signs and report any changes or concerns to the nursing staff.
  4. Assist with transferring and positioning patients as needed.
  5. Communicate effectively with patients and their families, providing emotional support and addressing any questions or concerns.
  6. Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients, adhering to infection control protocols.
  7. Collaborate with the nursing team to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients.
  8. Keep accurate and timely documentation of patient care and observations.
  9. Attend and actively participate in team meetings and training sessions to improve skills and knowledge.
  10. Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures, including HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality.
  11. Demonstrate a commitment to providing exceptional patient care and promoting a positive patient experience.

Job Qualifications
  • Current Cna Certification: Candidates Should Have A Valid Certified Nursing Assistant (Cna) License From An Accredited Program.

  • Prior Experience In A Medical Surgical Setting: Previous Work Experience In A Medical Surgical Unit Or Similar Patient Care Environment Is Preferred.

  • Knowledge Of Medical Terminology And Procedures: Candidates Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Medical Terminology, Procedures, And Equipment Commonly Used In A Medical Surgical Unit.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills: The Ability To Effectively Communicate With Patients, Families, And Healthcare Team Members Is Essential For This Role.

  • Physical And Emotional Stamina: The Role Of A Cna In A Medical Surgical Unit Can Be Physically And Emotionally Demanding. Candidates Should Be Able To Handle The Physical Demands Of The Job And Possess Emotional Resilience To Handle The Challenges Of Working With Patients Who May Be In Critical Conditions.
