- Review and analyze patient medical records to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to obtain necessary documentation and clarify any discrepancies.
- Identify and report any documentation deficiencies or errors to the appropriate parties.
- Educate healthcare team on proper documentation practices and regulations.
- Stay up-to-date on industry regulations and guidelines related to clinical documentation.
- Work closely with coding and billing teams to ensure appropriate documentation for accurate coding and reimbursement.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance documentation and patient care.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
- Utilize electronic health record systems to document and track patient information.
- Serve as a resource for healthcare team members on documentation related matters.
- Communicate effectively with patients and their families to obtain necessary information for medical records.
- Adhere to hospital policies and procedures regarding clinical documentation.
- Attend departmental meetings and training sessions as required.

Bachelor's Degree In Nursing Or Related Field
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Clinical Experience In A Hospital Or Healthcare Setting
Current And Active Rn License In The State Of Montana
Knowledge And Experience With Electronic Health Record Systems, Specifically In Clinical Documentation
Strong Understanding Of Coding And Billing Guidelines, Including Icd-10 And Cpt Codes
