
Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant
The Providence St. Patrick Hospital is seeking an experienced and passionate Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our expanding team. The ideal candidate will have a positive and enthusiastic attitude and a commitment to providing superior patient care. In this role, you will provide direct patient care and support to occupational therapists in the assessment, planning, and implementation of individualized treatment programs for patients.To be successful in this role, you must possess a current certification as an Occupational Therapy Assistant from the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT). You must also have a minimum of one year of experience providing occupational therapy services in an acute care setting. Additionally, strong interpersonal and communication skills, as well as the ability to work independently and collaboratively with other healthcare professionals, are essential for this position.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care and support to occupational therapists in the assessment, planning, and implementation of individualized treatment programs for patients.
- Maintain current certification as an Occupational Therapy Assistant from the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT).
- Ensure patient safety and compliance with regulations and standards of practice.
- Communicate effectively with patients, family members, and other healthcare professionals.
- Maintain a positive and enthusiastic attitude and a commitment to providing excellent patient care.
- Develop and maintain strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Work independently and collaboratively with other healthcare professionals.
- Monitor patient progress and update treatment plans as needed.
- Participate in continuing education and professional development activities.
- Perform administrative tasks, such as documenting patient care and completing paperwork.
