
Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant
We are looking for an experienced Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join the team at Providence St. Patrick Hospital. As a key member of our Occupational Therapy team, you will collaborate and work closely with Occupational Therapists to provide quality care to our patients. The ideal candidate will be patient-centered, have strong interpersonal skills, and be motivated to contribute to the success of our department.To be successful in this role, you must have an Associate’s Degree in Occupational Therapy and current certification from the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT). You must also have a minimum of one year of experience in a hospital setting, as well as knowledge and experience in providing patient care as a COTA. If you have an understanding of current Occupational Therapy policies, procedures, and standards, we would love to hear from you.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with Occupational Therapists to provide quality patient care
- Maintain patient-focused approach to care
- Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills
- Develop and implement patient treatment plans
- Administer occupational therapy interventions
- Evaluate patient progress and modify treatment plans accordingly
- Monitor patient safety and ensure compliance with occupational therapy standards
- Assist Occupational Therapists with administrative tasks
- Provide education and support to patients and their families
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
Knowledge Of Hipaa Regulations
