- Administer medication to patients according to physician orders and facility policies and procedures.
- Monitor patients for any adverse reactions or side effects from medication administration.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of medication administration and patient response.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure safe and effective medication management for patients.
- Educate patients and their families on medication administration, potential side effects, and proper storage and disposal.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and infection control measures while handling medication.
- Maintain inventory of medications and ensure proper storage and disposal.
- Monitor and report any medication errors or discrepancies to the appropriate individuals.
- Maintain current knowledge of medication administration procedures and regulations.
- Attend and actively participate in staff meetings and trainings related to medication administration.
- Provide support and assistance to other healthcare team members as needed.

- Maintain a clean and organized medication cart and work area.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives related to medication administration and patient safety.
Completion Of A State-Approved Medication Aide Training Program
Active Certification As A Certified Medication Aide (Cma) In The State Of Montana
Minimum Of 1 Year Of Experience Administering Medications In A Healthcare Setting
Excellent Understanding Of Medication Administration Procedures And Safety Protocols
Strong Communication Skills And Ability To Work Well Within A Team Environment.
