  1. Perform regular maintenance and troubleshooting of cardiac devices for patients.
  2. Assist in the implantation and removal of cardiac devices.
  3. Monitor and analyze device data to ensure proper functioning and make necessary adjustments.
  4. Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients.
  5. Educate patients and their families on the proper use and care of their devices.
  6. Maintain accurate and detailed records of device management and patient progress.
  7. Stay up-to-date with advancements in cardiac device technology and procedures.
  8. Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures, as well as safety and infection control protocols.
  9. Provide emotional support and comfort to patients and their families during procedures and appointments.
  10. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure the best possible outcomes.
  11. Participate in training and continuing education to maintain and improve skills and knowledge.
  12. Assist in the development and implementation of quality improvement initiatives related to cardiac device management.
  13. Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  14. Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor or department manager.

Job Qualifications
  • Certification: Must Be A Certified Cardiac Device Technician (Ccdt) Through The International Board Of Heart Rhythm Examiners (Ibhre) Or Equivalent Certification.

  • Education: Minimum Of An Associate's Degree In A Related Field Such As Healthcare Technology, Cardiovascular Technology, Or Biomedical Engineering.

  • Experience: At Least 2 Years Of Experience In Working With Cardiac Devices, Such As Pacemakers, Defibrillators, And Loop Recorders.

  • Knowledge Of Cardiac Anatomy And Physiology: Must Have A Thorough Understanding Of The Anatomy And Physiology Of The Cardiovascular System, As Well As The Electrical Conduction System Of The Heart.

  • Technical Skills: Proficiency In Using Specialized Equipment And Software For The Programming, Monitoring, And Troubleshooting Of Cardiac Devices. Experience With Major Device Manufacturers Such As Medtronic, Boston Scientific, And Abbott Is Preferred.
