Job Description

We are looking for an experienced and compassionate Associate Mental Health Counselor to join the Behavioral Health Services team at Providence St. Patrick Hospital. As a mental health professional, you will be responsible for providing effective counseling to individuals with mental health issues.The successful candidate will have a master’s degree in psychology, counseling, social work or a related field, and be licensed to practice in the state of Montana. You must have experience providing individual, family and group counseling for a variety of mental health issues including depression, anxiety, PTSD, substance abuse, and other mental health diagnoses.You must be able to work with a diverse client base, demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and be comfortable working with a multidisciplinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for helping others, be patient and understanding, and have a strong commitment to providing quality care. Responsibilities:

  1. Provide effective individual, family and group counseling for a variety of mental health issues.
  2. Utilize a variety of counseling techniques to assist clients in understanding and addressing mental health issues.
  3. Develop individualized treatment plans for each client.
  4. Assess clients' needs and develop appropriate interventions.
  5. Monitor clients' progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
  6. Document clients' progress and maintain accurate records.
  7. Collaborate with other mental health professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
  8. Provide appropriate referrals to outside resources.
  9. Participate in professional development activities to stay abreast of current trends in the field.
  10. Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings.
