
Associate Mental Health Counselor
We are looking for an experienced and compassionate Associate Mental Health Counselor to join the Behavioral Health Services team at Providence St. Patrick Hospital. As a mental health professional, you will be responsible for providing effective counseling to individuals with mental health issues.The successful candidate will have a master’s degree in psychology, counseling, social work or a related field, and be licensed to practice in the state of Montana. You must have experience providing individual, family and group counseling for a variety of mental health issues including depression, anxiety, PTSD, substance abuse, and other mental health diagnoses.You must be able to work with a diverse client base, demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and be comfortable working with a multidisciplinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for helping others, be patient and understanding, and have a strong commitment to providing quality care. Responsibilities:
- Provide effective individual, family and group counseling for a variety of mental health issues.
- Utilize a variety of counseling techniques to assist clients in understanding and addressing mental health issues.
- Develop individualized treatment plans for each client.
- Assess clients' needs and develop appropriate interventions.
- Monitor clients' progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
- Document clients' progress and maintain accurate records.
- Collaborate with other mental health professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
- Provide appropriate referrals to outside resources.
- Participate in professional development activities to stay abreast of current trends in the field.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings.
