  1. Provide expert counsel and representation in all areas of litigation for Providence St. Patrick Hospital.
  2. Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to support the hospital's defense in litigation cases.
  3. Develop and implement effective litigation strategies to protect the hospital's interests and achieve favorable outcomes.
  4. Prepare and review legal documents, including pleadings, motions, briefs, and other court filings.
  5. Represent the hospital in court proceedings, including trials, hearings, and depositions.
  6. Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including healthcare professionals, to gather necessary information and evidence for litigation cases.
  7. Manage a caseload of litigation matters and ensure timely and accurate resolution of each case.
  8. Stay up-to-date on relevant laws, regulations, and industry developments to effectively advise the hospital on legal matters.
  9. Provide guidance and training to other members of the legal team and hospital staff on litigation-related issues.
  10. Maintain accurate and organized records of all litigation cases and related documents.
  11. Work closely with external counsel and consultants as needed.
  12. Represent the hospital in alternative dispute resolution processes, such as mediation and arbitration.
  13. Adhere to ethical standards and professional codes of conduct in all activities.
  14. Support the hospital's mission to provide compassionate and high-quality care to the community.
  15. Continuously evaluate and improve legal processes and procedures to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

Job Qualifications
  • Juris Doctor (J.d.) Degree From An Accredited Law School

  • Admission To The State Bar Of Montana Or Ability To Become Admitted Within Six Months

  • Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience In Corporate Litigation, Preferably In A Healthcare Setting

  • Strong Understanding Of Legal Principles And Procedures Related To Healthcare Litigation, Including Medical Malpractice And Risk Management

  • Excellent Written And Verbal Communication Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Communicate Complex Legal Concepts To Non-Legal Stakeholders.
