Job Description

Providence St. Patrick Hospital is seeking an experienced, highly organized, and detail-oriented Associate Biomedical Technician. In this role, you will be responsible for providing technical support for all equipment used in the hospital. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in biomedical engineering and a proven track record of success in a similar role. The Associate Biomedical Technician will be expected to work collaboratively with a variety of stakeholders, including medical staff, nurses, and clinical support staff. To be successful in this role, you must be motivated, have exceptional problem-solving skills, and possess excellent communication and customer service abilities. Additionally, the Associate Biomedical Technician must possess: • A Bachelor’s degree in biomedical engineering or a related field• At least two years of experience in a biomedical engineering role• Demonstrated knowledge in medical equipment repair and maintenance• The ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment• The aptitude to troubleshoot and solve complex medical equipment issues• A strong commitment to patient safety and privacy• A valid driver’s license If you have the qualifications to excel in this role and are ready to make a positive impact at Providence St. Patrick Hospital, we would love to hear from you!

Responsibilities:

  1. Perform regular maintenance and repair of medical equipment in the hospital.
  2. Troubleshoot and diagnose complex medical equipment issues.
  3. Work collaboratively with medical staff, nurses, and clinical support staff.
  4. Provide excellent customer service and maintain a high level of communication with stakeholders.
  5. Adhere to patient safety and privacy protocols.
  6. Ensure all medical equipment is up-to-date and in working order.
  7. Assist in the training of new staff in the use of medical equipment.
  8. Conduct regular inspections of medical equipment to ensure they are operational.
  9. Maintain accurate documentation of all maintenance and repair activities.
  10. Develop and implement preventative maintenance plans for all equipment.
