Anesthesia Technician

Providence St. Patrick Hospital is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Anesthesia Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing quality healthcare and a commitment to patient safety.We are looking for someone with excellent communication and organizational skills, as well as the ability to provide exceptional patient care in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate must be able to work collaboratively with other members of the anesthesia team, and must be organized, detail-oriented, and flexible.The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years of experience with a degree in Anesthesia Technician, or related experience. The Anesthesia Technician will be responsible for providing technical support to the Anesthesiologist and other members of the anesthesia care team. They will also be responsible for a variety of tasks related to the preparation, maintenance, and operation of anesthesia equipment and supplies.

Responsibilities:

1. Prepare and maintain anesthesia equipment and supplies.
2. Ensure the safety of patients by following hospital protocols.
3. Assist Anesthesiologist and other members of the anesthesia team with the administration of anesthesia.
4. Monitor patients’ vital signs and respond to any changes.
5. Educate patients and families on the anesthesia process and post-operative care.
6. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure quality patient care.
7. Maintain accurate records and documentation.
8. Remain up to date on new technologies and techniques related to anesthesia.
9. Troubleshoot and resolve any issues with anesthesia equipment or supplies.
10. Participate in quality improvement initiatives.
