  1. Facilitate the admission process for patients by accurately and efficiently collecting and verifying patient information, insurance details, and other necessary documentation.
  2. Greet and assist patients and their families in a friendly and professional manner, providing exceptional customer service at all times.
  3. Collaborate with various departments within the hospital to ensure a smooth and timely admission process.
  4. Maintain confidentiality and adhere to all HIPAA regulations when handling sensitive patient information.
  5. Assist in resolving any issues or concerns related to the admission process, escalating to a supervisor when necessary.
  6. Keep accurate records of all admissions, discharges, and transfers, and report any discrepancies or issues to the appropriate parties.
  7. Continuously strive to improve the admission process, identifying opportunities for efficiency and implementing solutions.
  8. Stay up-to-date on hospital policies and procedures related to admissions and insurance, and ensure compliance at all times.
  9. Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe and comfortable environment for patients and staff.
  10. Participate in ongoing training and development opportunities to enhance job knowledge and skills.
  11. Serve as a positive and professional representative of St. Patrick Hospital, promoting our mission and values in all interactions.
  12. Remain flexible and adaptable to changing work demands and schedules, including rotating shifts and on-call availability.
  13. Demonstrate a high level of empathy and compassion towards patients and their families, providing emotional support and assistance as needed.
  14. Perform other duties as assigned by the Admitting Supervisor or Hospital Administration.

Job Qualifications
  • Excellent Communication And Customer Service Skills.

  • High School Diploma Or Equivalent Education Required.

  • Minimum Of 1 Year Experience In A Healthcare Setting, Preferably In An Admitting Or Registration Role.

  • Proficient Computer Skills, Including Experience With Electronic Medical Records And Insurance Verification Systems.

  • Ability To Work Flexible Hours, Including Weekends And Holidays, And Be Available For On-Call Shifts As Needed.
