Visiting Assistant Professor in Computer Science

Providence College is seeking a qualified and enthusiastic individual to fill the role of Visiting Assistant Professor in Computer Science. We are looking for an individual who is passionate about teaching and research in the field of computer science, and is eager to contribute to the academic and intellectual life of a vibrant liberal arts college. The successful candidate will possess a strong record of research accomplishments and be dedicated to teaching excellence.This is a full-time, non-tenure-track position for a three-year term beginning in Fall 2021. The successful candidate will be expected to teach two courses each semester, conduct research, and participate in service to the department, college and community.The ideal candidate will possess a Ph.D. in Computer Science or a related field and have a strong commitment to teaching and scholarship. Additionally, the successful candidate should have the ability to teach a range of computer science courses, such as data structures, computer architecture, operating systems, software engineering, computer networks, and artificial intelligence. Preference will be given to candidates with a record of successful external funding and/or scholarly publications in computer science. The successful candidate should have experience teaching at the undergraduate level and have the ability to work with diverse student populations.
