Major Gifts Officer

Are you passionate about fundraising and eager to make an impact? Providence College is seeking a talented and highly motivated Major Gifts Officer to join our Development team. The Major Gifts Officer will play an integral role in the continued growth of our comprehensive fundraising program.This role requires an organized, detail-oriented individual with a passion for fundraising and a high degree of professional integrity. This individual must be an excellent communicator, able to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders. The successful candidate will be a strategic thinker with an ability to identify, qualify, cultivate and solicit major gifts from a wide range of sources.The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor’s degree, along with a minimum of 5 years of experience in major gift fundraising, preferably in higher education. Experience in capital campaigns and with volunteer boards is a plus. The successful candidate should have experience with data-driven decision-making and an understanding of the importance of donor relations and stewardship.
