1. Develop and implement comprehensive environmental health and safety policies and procedures in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
2. Collaborate with the operations team to identify potential safety hazards and develop strategies to mitigate risks.
3. Conduct regular site inspections and audits to ensure compliance with safety standards and identify areas for improvement.
4. Train employees and contractors on safety procedures and protocols.
5. Maintain accurate records of safety incidents, near-misses, and safety training.
6. Investigate and report any safety incidents and develop corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
7. Monitor and track environmental metrics to identify areas for improvement and develop strategies to reduce our environmental impact.
8. Stay up-to-date on changes in environmental health and safety regulations and communicate updates to the team.
9. Coordinate with external agencies and conduct required reporting as necessary.
10. Foster a culture of safety by promoting safety awareness, providing resources and support, and recognizing safe behaviors.
11. Conduct regular safety meetings and communicate safety-related updates and initiatives to the team.
12. Collaborate with the sustainability team to integrate environmental sustainability initiatives into our safety program.
13. Conduct regular training and drills for emergency preparedness and response.
14. Act as a liaison between Prologis and regulatory agencies for environmental health and safety matters.
15. Work with vendors and contractors to ensure they are following safety protocols and meeting our safety standards.
16. Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders to promote a safe and sustainable work environment.
