- Develop and implement environmental health and safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and risks in the workplace.
- Provide training and education to employees on health and safety protocols, emergency procedures, and best practices for sustainable practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and maintain emergency response plans.
- Monitor and track incidents, and investigate accidents to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of safety inspections, training, and incident reports.
- Stay informed about new or changing environmental health and safety regulations and ensure company compliance.
- Communicate regularly with management and employees to promote a culture of safety and sustainability.
- Work with external agencies and vendors to ensure proper disposal of hazardous materials and compliance with environmental regulations.
- Continuously evaluate and improve environmental health and safety programs, policies, and procedures.
- Conduct risk assessments and develop risk management strategies to prevent workplace injuries and illnesses.
- Collaborate with human resources to develop and implement return-to-work programs for employees who have been injured on the job.
- Develop and maintain relationships with local and state environmental health and safety agencies.
- Participate in and lead safety committees to address safety concerns and implement safety initiatives.
- Serve as a resource for employees on environmental health and safety issues and provide guidance and support as needed.
Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience In Environmental Health And Safety, Preferably In A Warehouse Or Industrial Setting.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Train And Educate Employees On Safety Procedures.
Bachelor's Degree In Environmental Health And Safety, Occupational Health And Safety, Or A Related Field.
Knowledge Of Federal, State, And Local Safety Regulations And Standards, As Well As Industry Best Practices.
Certification In Relevant Safety Programs, Such As Osha Or Nebosh, Is Preferred.
