- Perform surgical procedures: The Outpatient Surgical Technician will be responsible for assisting surgeons in performing a variety of surgical procedures, including preparing and sterilizing equipment, passing instruments, and maintaining a sterile field.
- Utilize state-of-the-art equipment: The Surgical Technician will be expected to have a strong understanding of the latest surgical equipment and technology and be able to effectively operate and troubleshoot any issues that may arise during procedures.
- Ensure patient safety and comfort: The Technician will play a critical role in maintaining a safe and comfortable environment for patients during surgical procedures. This includes monitoring vital signs, responding to patient needs, and communicating any concerns to the surgical team.
- Collaborate with surgical team: The Surgical Technician will work closely with surgeons, nurses, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure efficient and effective patient care. This may involve communicating during procedures, providing necessary instruments and supplies, and assisting with patient positioning.
- Maintain a sterile environment: The Technician will be responsible for following strict infection control protocols and maintaining a sterile environment in the operating room to prevent the spread of infection and ensure patient safety.
- Prepare and maintain equipment: The Technician will be responsible for preparing and maintaining all surgical equipment, including sterilizing instruments, ensuring proper functioning of equipment, and restocking supplies as needed.
- Document and report: The Surgical Technician will be expected to accurately document and report all procedures, equipment usage, and patient information, following all HIPAA and other regulatory guidelines.
- Attend trainings and meetings: The Technician will be expected to attend all required trainings and meetings to stay updated on best practices, new equipment, and other relevant information.

Certified Surgical Technologist (Cst) Credential From The National Board Of Surgical Technology And Surgical Assisting (Nbstsa).
Minimum Of 2 Years Experience As A Surgical Technician In An Outpatient Setting.
Knowledge Of Current Surgical Techniques, Equipment, And Procedures.
Ability To Anticipate Surgeon's Needs And Maintain A Sterile Field During Procedures.
