  1. Assist surgeons during surgical procedures by preparing and organizing equipment, instruments, and supplies.
  2. Ensure the highest level of patient care and safety by following established protocols and procedures.
  3. Maintain a sterile environment in the operating room by adhering to infection control guidelines.
  4. Anticipate the needs of the surgical team and provide support as needed.
  5. Monitor and document patient vitals and report any changes or concerns to the surgical team.
  6. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless and efficient surgical procedures.
  7. Adhere to all HIPAA and patient privacy guidelines.
  8. Continuously update knowledge and skills through ongoing education and training.
  9. Maintain and organize surgical equipment and supplies.
  10. Communicate effectively with patients and their families, providing them with necessary information and addressing any concerns.
  11. Follow all hospital policies and procedures, including safety and emergency protocols.
  12. Maintain a positive and professional attitude towards patients, colleagues, and superiors.
  13. Adhere to strict confidentiality guidelines when handling patient information.
  14. Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes.
  15. Use critical thinking and problem-solving skills to anticipate and address potential issues during surgical procedures.
  16. Attend and actively participate in team meetings and trainings.
  17. Comply with all state and federal regulations related to surgical procedures and patient care.
  18. Display a strong work ethic and commitment to excellence in all job duties.
  19. Follow all ethical and professional standards in accordance with the American Society of Surgical Technologists.

Job Qualifications
  • Certified Surgical Technologist (Cst) Credential From The National Board Of Surgical Technology And Surgical Assisting (Nbstsa)

  • Associate's Degree In Surgical Technology Or A Related Field From An Accredited Institution

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In A Surgical Setting, Preferably At A Large Hospital Or Medical Center

  • Familiarity With A Variety Of Surgical Procedures And Instruments, Including Orthopedic, General, And Specialty Surgeries

  • Excellent Communication And Teamwork Skills, With The Ability To Work Effectively Under Pressure In A Fast-Paced Environment.
