  1. Oversee the daily operations of the Respiratory Care Service department.
  2. Lead and manage a team of Respiratory Care professionals.
  3. Ensure that all department policies and procedures are followed.
  4. Maintain a safe and efficient work environment for all staff.
  5. Collaborate with other departments and healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to patients.
  6. Develop and implement strategies to improve the quality of respiratory care services.
  7. Monitor and maintain department budget and resource allocation.
  8. Provide guidance and support to staff, including training, mentoring, and performance evaluations.
  9. Stay updated on industry developments and best practices in respiratory care.
  10. Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and standards.
  11. Address any issues or concerns raised by patients or their families regarding respiratory care services.
  12. Foster a positive and collaborative work culture within the department.
  13. Participate in the recruitment and hiring process for new staff.
  14. Conduct regular meetings and trainings to keep staff informed and engaged.
  15. Continuously evaluate and improve department processes and workflows.
  16. Act as a liaison between the department and other departments within the organization.
  17. Represent the department in meetings and committees.
  18. Adhere to and promote the organization's mission, vision, and values.
  19. Maintain accurate records and reports related to department activities.
  20. Collaborate with leadership to develop and implement strategic goals for the department.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Respiratory Therapy Or A Related Field: A Supervisor - Respiratory Care Service At Prisma Health Should Have A Strong Educational Foundation In Respiratory Therapy Or A Related Field. This Ensures That The Individual Has A Thorough Understanding Of The Principles And Practices Of Respiratory Care.

  • Current License As A Registered Respiratory Therapist (Rrt): Prisma Health Requires All Supervisors In Their Respiratory Care Service To Hold A Current Rrt License. This License Demonstrates That The Individual Has Met The National Standards For Respiratory Therapy And Is Qualified To Provide High-Quality Care.

  • Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Respiratory Therapy: Prisma Health Seeks Candidates With At Least 5 Years Of Experience In Respiratory Therapy For Their Supervisor Role. This Experience Should Include A Variety Of Clinical Settings And A Range Of Respiratory Care Procedures.

  • Previous Leadership Or Supervisory Experience: In Addition To Clinical Experience, A Supervisor - Respiratory Care Service At Prisma Health Should Have Previous Leadership Or Supervisory Experience. This Could Include Managing A Team Of Respiratory Therapists Or Serving In A Leadership Role In A Respiratory Care Department.

  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills: As A Supervisor, Effective Communication And Interpersonal Skills Are Crucial In Leading And Managing A Team Of Respiratory Therapists. Prisma Health Seeks Candidates Who Can Effectively Communicate With Team Members, Patients, And Other Healthcare Professionals.
