  1. Provide support and assistance to patients and their families facing the challenges of infectious diseases.
  2. Utilize a compassionate and empathetic approach when working with patients.
  3. Demonstrate a strong understanding of infectious diseases and their impact on individuals and communities.
  4. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans for patients.
  5. Conduct assessments and evaluations to determine the needs of patients and develop appropriate interventions.
  6. Assist in coordinating and facilitating care for patients, including referrals to other healthcare providers or community resources.
  7. Advocate for patients by promoting their rights and ensuring they receive proper care.

  9. Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and provide input on patient care plans.
  10. Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of patient interactions and interventions.
  11. Stay up-to-date on the latest research, treatments, and trends related to infectious diseases.
  12. Adhere to all legal and ethical standards and guidelines related to social work practice.
  13. Continuously evaluate and improve the quality of services provided to patients.
  14. Work collaboratively with community organizations and agencies to address the needs of patients with infectious diseases.
  15. Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance knowledge and skills in the field of infectious disease social work.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Or Master's Degree In Social Work From An Accredited Institution.

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In Healthcare, Preferably In Infectious Disease Or Public Health.

  • Strong Knowledge And Understanding Of Infectious Diseases, Including Prevention, Treatment, And Care.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Work Effectively With Diverse Populations.

  • Professional Licensure As A Social Worker In The State Of South Carolina Or Ability To Obtain Licensure Within 6 Months Of Hire.
