- Provide strategic legal guidance to executive leadership team on all legal matters related to healthcare services and operations.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and stay up-to-date on changes in healthcare laws and regulations.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to mitigate legal risk and ensure ethical and compliant practices.
- Serve as a key advisor to executive leadership on potential legal implications of business decisions.
- Oversee and manage the legal department, including hiring and training of legal staff.
- Collaborate with other departments and teams to identify and address legal issues and develop solutions.
- Conduct legal research and analysis to support decision making and provide recommendations to leadership.
- Manage outside counsel relationships and oversee legal representation in litigation matters.
- Develop and maintain relationships with external stakeholders, such as government agencies and industry associations, to stay informed of legal developments and potential impact on the organization.
- Provide legal support for mergers, acquisitions, and other business transactions.
- Advise on and review contracts, agreements, and other legal documents.
- Ensure the organization's compliance with all legal and ethical standards.
- Communicate complex legal issues in a clear and concise manner to non-legal stakeholders.
- Lead and mentor legal team members and foster a collaborative and supportive work environment.
- Represent the organization in legal proceedings, negotiations, and other interactions with external parties.
- Evaluate and improve legal processes and procedures to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Maintain confidentiality and demonstrate ethical behavior in all actions and decisions.
A Minimum Of 10 Years Of Experience In Corporate Law, Preferably In The Healthcare Industry.
Juris Doctor (J.d.) Degree From An Accredited Law School.
Must Be A Member In Good Standing Of The American Bar Association.
Extensive Knowledge Of Healthcare Laws And Regulations, Including Hipaa, Stark Law, And Anti-Kickback Statute.
Proven Leadership Skills And Experience Managing A Team Of Attorneys And Legal Professionals.
