Safety Partner

1. Develop and implement safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations and promote a safe working environment.
2. Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and make recommendations for corrective action.
3. Collaborate with department leaders and employees to identify and address safety concerns and develop solutions to mitigate risks.
4. Provide training and guidance to employees on best safety practices and procedures to promote a culture of safety throughout the organization.
5. Investigate and report on incidents and accidents, identifying root causes and implementing measures to prevent future occurrences.
6. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of safety regulations and industry best practices to continuously improve safety standards at Prisma Health.
7. Develop and maintain relationships with external safety organizations and agencies to stay informed on industry trends and regulations.
8. Conduct safety orientations for new employees and contractors to ensure they are aware of safety protocols and expectations.
9. Collaborate with the Occupational Health team to ensure compliance with employee health and safety regulations.
10. Develop emergency response plans and conduct drills to prepare employees for potential emergencies.
11. Keep accurate records of safety incidents, audits, and training sessions, and provide regular reports to management.
12. Serve as a resource for employees and management on safety-related matters, providing guidance and support as needed.
13. Act as a liaison between Prisma Health and regulatory agencies during safety inspections and investigations.
14. Participate in safety committees and meetings to provide updates on safety initiatives and address safety concerns.
15. Continuously monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of safety programs and make recommendations for improvements as needed.
