  1. Prepare and dispense medications accurately and efficiently, following all safety protocols and procedures.
  2. Collaborate with pharmacists to ensure timely and accurate medication orders and deliveries.
  3. Maintain an organized and well-stocked pharmacy environment, including proper storage and handling of medications.
  4. Keep accurate records of medications, patient information, and inventory levels.
  5. Communicate effectively with patients, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to provide exceptional customer service.
  6. Follow all state and federal laws and regulations governing pharmacy operations.
  7. Continuously update and expand knowledge of pharmaceuticals, including new medications and their uses.
  8. Assist in training and mentoring new pharmacy technicians to ensure quality performance and adherence to standards.
  9. Identify and report any potential medication errors or adverse drug reactions.
  10. Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations at all times.
  11. Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety.
  12. Perform other duties as assigned by the pharmacy manager or supervisor.

Job Qualifications
  • Completion Of An Accredited Pharmacy Technician Training Program: Applicants Must Have Completed A Recognized Pharmacy Technician Training Program And Obtained A Certificate Or Diploma.

  • State Certification Or Licensure: Candidates Must Hold A Valid Pharmacy Technician Certification Or License From The State In Which They Will Be Employed.

  • Experience In A Healthcare Setting: Previous Experience Working In A Healthcare Environment, Such As A Hospital Or Retail Pharmacy, Is Preferred.

  • Knowledge Of Pharmacy Operations And Regulations: Candidates Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Pharmacy Operations, Including Drug Distribution, Inventory Management, And Patient Confidentiality Regulations.

  • Excellent Communication And Customer Service Skills: The Ability To Communicate Effectively With Patients, Pharmacists, And Other Healthcare Professionals Is Essential For This Role. Candidates Should Also Possess Strong Customer Service Skills To Ensure A Positive Patient Experience.
