Active Rn License: A Qualified Candidate For The Rn-Certified Oncology Nurse Navigator Role At Prisma Health Must Possess An Active Registered Nurse (Rn) License In The State Of South Carolina.
Oncology Nursing Certification: Prisma Health Requires That Candidates Hold A Current Certification As An Oncology Certified Nurse (Ocn) From The Oncology Nursing Certification Corporation (Oncc).
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Oncology Nursing Experience: The Ideal Candidate Will Have At Least 2 Years Of Experience Working As An Rn In An Oncology Setting, Providing Direct Patient Care And Coordinating Care Plans.
Strong Communication And Patient Education Skills: As An Rn-Certified Oncology Nurse Navigator, The Candidate Must Have Excellent Communication Skills To Effectively Educate And Support Patients And Their Families Throughout Their Cancer Journey.
Knowledge Of Cancer Treatments And Resources: A Qualified Candidate Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Various Cancer Treatments, Including Chemotherapy, Radiation Therapy, And Immunotherapy, As Well As Knowledge Of Community Resources And Support Services Available For Cancer Patients.
