- Provide high-quality care to patients with kidney disease, including assessment, monitoring, and treatment.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare team members to develop and implement individualized care plans for each patient.
- Educate patients and their families on kidney disease management, treatment options, and lifestyle changes.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Monitor and document patient progress and response to treatments.
- Respond to changes in patient condition and take appropriate action.
- Maintain accurate and thorough medical records in accordance with legal and professional standards.
- Adhere to infection control and safety protocols.
- Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and contribute to the development of policies and procedures.
- Serve as an advocate for patients and their families, ensuring their needs and concerns are addressed.
- Stay up-to-date on advancements and best practices in Nephrology.
- Provide support and guidance to less experienced nursing staff, such as LPNs and nursing assistants.
- Maintain professional standards of practice and ethics.
- Collaborate with other healthcare providers and community resources to ensure continuity of care for patients.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.
- Adhere to all organizational policies and procedures.
- Attend trainings and conferences to continuously develop and enhance nursing skills.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information.
- Act as a resource and mentor to other healthcare team members.
- Demonstrate a commitment to the mission and values of the healthcare organization.
Bachelor's Degree In Nursing From An Accredited Institution
Current Basic Life Support (Bls) Certification
Active Rn License In The State Of South Carolina, Or Eligible For Reciprocity
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Acute Care Nursing Experience, Preferably In Nephrology
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (Acls) Certification Preferred
