
Registered Nurse (RN)-Acute Care, Clinical Decision Unit

- Provide exceptional patient care: The primary responsibility of this role is to provide exceptional care to patients in the Acute Care Clinical Decision Unit. This includes assessing patient needs, developing and implementing care plans, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure the best outcomes for patients.
- Adhere to evidence-based practices: The RN in this role is expected to have a strong understanding of evidence-based practices and use this knowledge to guide their clinical decision making. They should stay up-to-date on the latest research and recommendations in acute care.
- Work with a diverse patient population: The RN will have the opportunity to work with a diverse patient population, including patients with different medical conditions, backgrounds, and needs. As such, they must have excellent communication and cultural competency skills.

Bachelor's Degree In Nursing (Bsn) Or Higher: A Bsn Is The Minimum Educational Requirement For An Rn-Acute Care, Clinical Decision Unit Position At Prisma Health. This Degree Equips Nurses With The Necessary Knowledge And Skills To Provide High-Quality Patient Care In A Fast-Paced Acute Care Setting.
Current Rn License: All Applicants For An Rn-Acute Care, Clinical Decision Unit Position At Prisma Health Must Hold A Current And Active Rn License In The State Of South Carolina. This Ensures That Nurses Are Legally Qualified To Practice And Provide Safe And Competent Care To Patients.
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Acute Care Nursing Experience: Prisma Health Requires A Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In An Acute Care Setting For Rns Applying To Work In The Clinical Decision Unit. This Experience Helps Nurses Develop Critical Thinking And Decision-Making Skills Necessary To Handle Complex Patient Cases In A Fast-Paced Environment.
Bls And Acls Certification: Basic Life Support (Bls) And Advanced Cardiac Life Support (Acls) Certifications Are Essential For Rns Working In An Acute Care Setting. These Certifications Ensure That Nurses Are Equipped To Respond To Emergency Situations And Provide Life-Saving Interventions When Necessary.
Strong Communication And Teamwork Skills: As An Rn-Acute Care, Clinical Decision Unit At Prisma Health, The Ability To Communicate Effectively And Work Collaboratively With A Multidisciplinary Team Is Vital. This Role Involves Working Closely With Physicians, Other Nurses, And Healthcare Professionals To Provide The Best Possible Care For Patients.
