Bachelor's Degree In Nutrition Or A Related Field: A Minimum Of A Bachelor's Degree In Nutrition, Dietetics, Or A Related Field Is Typically Required For A Registered Dietitian Position At Prisma Health. This Ensures That The Candidate Has A Strong Foundation In The Science Of Nutrition And Is Equipped With The Necessary Knowledge To Provide Evidence-Based Nutrition Recommendations.
Registered Dietitian (Rd) Credential: Prisma Health Requires All Registered Dietitian Job Applicants To Have A Valid And Current Rd Credential From The Commission On Dietetic Registration (Cdr). This Credential Demonstrates That The Candidate Has Met The Rigorous Educational And Professional Requirements Set By The Cdr And Is Qualified To Provide Medical Nutrition Therapy.
State Licensure: In Addition To The Rd Credential, Prisma Health May Also Require Candidates To Hold A Valid State License To Practice As A Dietitian. This Ensures That The Candidate Has Met The Specific Requirements Set By The State For Practicing As A Registered Dietitian And Is Legally Allowed To Provide Nutrition Counseling And Services.
Experience In Clinical Nutrition: Prisma Health May Prefer Candidates With Previous Experience In A Clinical Setting, Such As A Hospital Or Healthcare Facility.
