  1. Provide exceptional care to patients with expertise in Transplant Hepatology.
  2. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement treatment plans for patients.
  3. Conduct thorough evaluations of patients' medical history and perform physical examinations.
  4. Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as blood work and imaging, to aid in diagnosis and treatment.
  5. Monitor patients' progress and make necessary adjustments to treatment plans.
  6. Stay up-to-date on the latest advancements in Transplant Hepatology and incorporate new techniques and treatments into practice.
  7. Communicate effectively with patients and their families to ensure understanding of treatment options and expectations.
  8. Work closely with transplant coordinators and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care for patients in need of liver transplants.
  9. Adhere to all ethical and legal standards in providing patient care.
  10. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and research projects to enhance patient outcomes.
  11. Mentor and educate medical students, residents, and fellows in Transplant Hepatology.
  12. Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records for patients.
  13. Comply with all organizational policies and procedures.
  14. Attend conferences and seminars to enhance knowledge and skills in Transplant Hepatology.
  15. Provide excellent customer service to patients and their families, ensuring a positive experience at Prisma Health.

Job Qualifications

  • Board Certification In Internal Medicine And Gastroenterology: The Physician Must Be Board Certified In Both Internal Medicine And Gastroenterology, Demonstrating A Strong Foundation In Both Fields.

  • Fellowship In Transplant Hepatology: A Fellowship In Transplant Hepatology Is Essential For This Position, As It Provides Specialized Training And Experience In The Management Of Liver Transplant Patients.

  • Extensive Experience In Liver Transplantation: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience In The Field Of Liver Transplantation, Including Pre-Transplant Evaluation, Post-Transplant Care, And Management Of Complications.

  • Research And Publications: A Strong Track Record Of Research And Publications In The Field Of Transplant Hepatology Is Desirable, As It Demonstrates A Commitment To Advancing The Field And Staying Up-To-Date On The Latest Developments.

  • Excellent Interpersonal And Communication Skills: The Physician Must Possess Excellent Interpersonal And Communication Skills To Effectively Collaborate With Other Members Of The Transplant Team, Communicate With Patients And Their Families, And Educate Medical Students And Residents.
